elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She has served as a program director for Guidance Life Skills and Mentoring (GLAM Inc.) supporting young women through education and mentoring and served as an officer at Meharry’s chapter of the Student National Medical Association. She hopes to bring “compassion and the ability to see potential in those affected by hardship. My primary goal as a psychiatrist is to foster that potential by allowing patients the opportunity to address trauma and provide a space for healing.”
In March of 2023 Dr. Tanisha Adams matched at her top choice for General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She currently serves as a resident psychiatrist at UT Southwestern in Dallas Texas.
